FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I'm new to Aubrey Taylor, where do I even start?

A: Hi, welcome in! It can be overwhelming diving into a new author, especially one with a backlist but Aubrey is here to help! If you've stumbled across her because of a book in the Hornets Nest Series, the best place to start is with Bad Honey. It's the first book in the series and while it's not necessary, it is recommended to start with it so you can get to know the characters!

Q: I signed up for the Street Team and/or signed up for the Live Tour but was never contacted?

A: There is one of two problems if you weren't added. 1. Your Instagram wasn't properly searchable. It's always tricky to find people using the search function on Instagram and we always recommend using a link to your profile! 2. We found you, but your profile is private. When this happens we can't add you to the group chat and it makes it extremely difficult to get a hold of you!

Q: As part of your street team, do I have to share every post?

A: Absolutely not! Share what you want, when you can! There's never an obligation to share things, comments and interaction is always appreciated but doesn't hinder your chances of receiving future ARCs.

Q: I signed up for the permanent ARC team, do I have to sign up for the future ARCS?

A: Nope! Once you've signed up for the permanent team you do not have to sign up for the individual ARC sign ups. You'll always get an ARC. Signing up twice can cause a lot of confusion and means that we have to sift through and find the duplicates!

Q: I signed up for the recent Aubrey Taylor ARC but never received an email?!

A: Dang it! Listen, we've all done the dreaded fight with our inbox. It's very rare that I don't accept everyone that applies. Aubrey loves giving away her books. So there's two possibilities; 1. The email has gone into your promotions folder, or junk mail. Please go through every inbox you have because a lot of the time it's hiding in there! 2. You're email was not recognized by Aubrey's mail service and that happens, it's no ones fault! If after you've checked every single inbox without luck, please message Aubrey or her PA MK for assistance.

Q: Do I have to post a review on Instagram? I'm not very good at graphics or edits!

A: You do not! Edits and reels are not a mandatory talent to be apart of the street team! All we ask is that you take the time to honestly review the books on any platforms that you're currently using. Goodreads, Fable, Storygraph, Amazon (this one is extra important)!

Q: What if I can't finish on time?

A: Life has a funny way of doing whatever it wants, whenever it wants. Please just message Aubrey or MK and let them know what's going on.

Q: Where can I find Aubrey?

A: Online, (Chronically) if you go over to the forms tab you'll find all the fun places you can find Aubrey, all the time. Patreon, Facebook, Instagram! All her books are listed on most major sellers websites, Amazon, B&N, Indigo as well as quite a few really amazing Indie Bookstores (If you're one of those can you reach out to Aubrey please! She'd love to list you here!)

Q: Okay, but is there anywhere we can meet Aubrey?!

A: September of this year Aubrey will be at two events, the Authors of Manitoba event in Steinbach, Mb on September 13th as well as The Queer Book Fair right here in Winnipeg, Mb.

2026 is a big year for Aubrey. She has her very first reader convention in March 2026! We're going to Sports Romance Con bby! She'll be there for the entire weekend with her stock of books. In the coming months this space will be updated with Pre-Order links for that convention as well as more information!
